Bethesda Store Remodel

March 2008 Photos

Our Bethesda location is undergoing a store remodel that began January 2nd, 2008. We're updating fixtures, merchandising, paint and lighting. The finished product will be more pleasing to the eye, better organized and perhaps most importantly--easier for you to shop.

There's lots of work to be done, but don't worry. We will remain open during this time and are happy to help you. We understand that Strosniders is a very special place for our customers and are excited to present you with an even better Strosniders experience when this remodel is completed very soon. March 19 - This is our old staff lunchroom. Hard to believe it will soon become a new Benjamin Moore Color Center. Let's just say it's getting some of the color it sorely needs.

March 14 - Strosniders is a family business and here's a father/son pair that has been instrumental in our remodel and just about everything else for that matter. Paul and Wayne are standing inside the new customer service center they buit. Paul's the one with the gray hair--but ask him about that and he'll point out that he didn't have a single strand of gray before working here.

March 14 - This is Justin from our delivery/receiving department. This photo doesn't have much to do with our remodel, but since he hadn't gotten his picture on the website yet, we thought this would be a good opportunity to take a snapshot.

March 11 - Here's Howard, another one of our favorite customers. He's sandwiched between our lawn mower shop manager Jeff and store manager Jim. Howard has a knack for always keeping us in good spirits.

March 11 - Here's Chuck. He's one of our managers and is sky high on scaffolding with a drill. Who says managers don't lift a finger around here?

March 5 - Here's a view of our customer service desk. Note the wooden boards covering the wall above. Our friends at Hancock Painting are going to remove it all soon. We were shocked at was underneath.

March 5 - As this photo reveals, our walls were once slapped with a coat of bright yellow paint. Hard to believe, but true.

March 5 - Oscar from our paint department is smiling as we reveal a major color clash. Here's some--gulp!--green to go with the yellow. Perhaps we'll find a disco ball soon.

March 5 - Here's Walter. He's one of our favorite customers. We like to call him the "hardest working person in Bethesda." He's flashing his trademark smile and to our constant amazement, he's really always smiling.  

March 3 - You're peeking at what was behind our housewares gadget wall. It was one of the few places around you could buy a mushroom brush and cherry pitter. But don't fret, those items are now found in aisle 7.
